NAQCC KMPW AWARD

As propagation was not the best for QRP during 2023 in regards to any MPW awards, here I only managed to get 18 MPW awards for the year ranging from 500 milliwatts to 3 watts. It was a struggle. 

However in 2024, propagation picked up and on April 1st, I decided to make a real effect to make 100 QRP MPW contacts.... all at 1 watt. 

By the end of the first week of April, I had made 48 contacts and by the end of the 2nd week of April, I was now up to 73 contacts. On April 20th, I had finally crossed the threshold and made 101 QRP MPW QSO's, earning the KMPW award. What is even better, I was the first Australian to achieve this award.

EDIT....  Since the above, on the 16th Dec 2024, I increased my total MPW award total to 150. I'm the first Australian to achieve the "HONORS list  for making 150 x 1000 MPW awards using a simple wire antenna. Only 4 people have achieved this and I'm honoured to be one of them. (SWA category = Simple Wire Antenna category)
