Its good to get back on the air. Around 6pm my time, I tried 15 and 20m, but the bands were basically dead. A couple of very faint stations heard, but not worth trying for. So I went down to 40m and called out CQ. ZL2BNE (Nev) came back, gave me a 559 (The noise level up here was a S4) and so after a 30 minute ragchew, we said our 73's. Later that night I saw Gerard (VK2IO/P) calling out CQ WWFF on 40m, so I jumped on and gave him his contact for that park.
